SwiftUI TabView PageTabViewStyle: A Weather App with Unique Features

The weather app I built, Sunshine, has three main screens that each play a crucial role in providing users with essential information about their location's current weather conditions. Despite the challenges I faced during development, I aimed to incorporate various design elements and animations to give the app a polished look.

One of the unique features of this app is the custom-built assets (sun, clouds, rain) that animate on the screen based on the weather at a given location. This focus on user experience (UX) and attention to detail set Sunshine apart from other weather apps.

As part of my learning journey in iOS development, I built Sunshine during the Summer and Fall of 2020 using SwiftUI. Throughout its development, I shared screenshots and video recordings of the app's evolution on Twitter, showcasing my progress and the challenges I faced.

While I didn't ultimately finalize this project for release on the App Store, I'm still proud of what I accomplished. The experience I gained during this process has been invaluable in my continued learning journey as a developer.

Looking back, there were several factors that contributed to my uncertainty about releasing Sunshine. Perhaps it was a lack of planning or overly high expectations, but the closer I got to finishing the project, the less confident I became about its worthiness for release. Despite these challenges, I learned a great deal and developed important skills in SwiftUI.

As I reflect on this experience, I'm reminded that learning is a continuous process, and even 'failures' can be valuable stepping stones towards growth as a developer. With Sunshine, I demonstrated my ability to build an app from scratch, and the experience has prepared me for future projects.
